| INSPIRED: The Great Gatsby |

 From de Gournay wallcoverings to the combination of grand staircases with intricate marquetry flooring, the interiors of The Great Gatsby were nothing short of amazing. From one scene to the next, we renewed our passion for the splendor of the 1920's and how the distinctive style of the decade is incorporated into today's society. We are definitely guilty of borrowing some ideas from this era, just take a look at how we've taken the Art Deco aesthetic and made it modern for a few special projects.

We showed you most of this house in a previous POST last year, but we left out one special space that wasn't yet complete. The Master Bedroom... It has since been finished and just like the rest of the house is absolutely beautiful! Roger and Kaylee's effort to make this space as comfortable as it is interesting and lovely sure paid off as the clients are filled with joy to finally have the bedroom of their dreams.

We stopped in one of our favorite client's condo the other day to a little fluffing and couldn't resist taking a few photos of the inspired space. We love these interiors because they are so reflective of the owner which will always be the most defining attribute to great design (in our opinion at least!). Take a look...

What a great way to start the week! The latest issue of Traditional Home magazine was patiently waiting in our mailbox on Monday morning and as soon as we saw that distinctive binding, we instantly got excited to tear it open! This is one project we have been dying to see get recognized in a major feature, and boy did it!

This 10-page spread highlights this beautiful home and it's easy to see why we've taken so much pride in working on it. Thank you again to Traditional Home for featuring us again in your consistently lovely magazine! The April issue is on newsstands now, so be sure to pick up your copy today (our feature starts on page 106)!

Fortunately, we don't have to wait too much longer to see our name on these pages again as they will soon be featuring the O'More Show House that we currently working on. With all of the talent involved, this house is sure to be nothing short of amazing. You can catch our design work as you soon as you walk in the door as we chose the entry for our space!

| SMART ART: White Plate Edition |

We've said it over and over, but just to reiterate... anything can be art! Especially something as timeless as your basic white plate- we love this idea for so many reasons, but most of all because it can be completely unexpected! This understated trick is also amazingly versatile in its ability to add great interest to an empty wall or surface. But perhaps the best reason to cover your home with white dishes is because it's an easy and affordable way to add a crisp, clean and even polished accent to a space! What do you think... would you use a simple, white plate as decor?
